This convertible house is designed for millennials fashion designers live in Chicago downtown. The goal of this design is to provide an efficient space include both fashion design business and relax function. The overall design of this house is inspired by Piet Mondrian’s painting named “Composition II in Red, Blue, and Yellow, 1930”. With this concept in mind, neutral color such as grey, black and white create a professional feeling in the entire space, contrast color such as blue and red as two accent colors embellish the environment, and bring the modern consciousness into the space. Customized cabinet in both side of the wall contains most of the home fashion design business function and unit inside of the cabinet. The hidden cabinet setting offers simple but structured outlook during the day and night time. Also, hidden cabinet provide better solution in private keeping. At the same time, half of the storage unit embed air-pressure installation behind the door for convenience of opening. The self-designed convertible desk contains two boards and can be transformed for different purposes, such as dining table, meeting table, extra working table, etc.. Moveable and convertible furniture bring a brand new flexible life style in the whole room.
